Local Trust submits evidence to House of Lords Citizenship committee

Local Trust’s submission to the House of Lords Committee on Citizenship and Civic Engagement

Local Trust has submitted evidence to the ad hoc House of Lords select committee formed to explore citizenship and civic engagement. The committee looks to address the ‘need to reflect on those values, principles and processes that might play a role in bringing people together and promoting engaged citizenship.’ The reason for a new temporary committee being created is because the topic is so broad ranging it cuts across several existing departments and committees.

Local Trust made its submission to the committee outlining the Big Local programme model and achievements to date. The Committee will report in March 2018.
