We know that the cost of living crisis is a matter of deep concern for Big Local partnerships – both in terms of the implications for delivering Big Local plans, and because of the impact on people in the wider community.
In response, we’ve been working with our partners to launch a new offer which can help partnerships with issues like rising energy and asset costs, setting up warm hubs and communicating through crisis.
We’re also continuing to use our position as a funder to influence change, including by calling on the UK government to dedicate the next wave of dormant assets (from stocks, shares, bonds, insurance and pension policies) to create a new, independent endowment – the Community Wealth Fund.
Our recent blog from James Goodman outlines why investing in communities should be the ‘project of a generation’, if we are to build a resilient nation and ‘navigate an age of permanent crisis’.
We will continue to share links to cost of living related resources, events and services over on Workplace so make sure you are registered if you’d like to stay up to date.
