Effectiveness of Big Local learning support

At Local Trust, we want to support residents to gain control, skills and confidence to make a difference to the things that matter most to them in their communities. One of the ways we do this is to offer a programme of courses and learning events to residents in Big Local areas.

Rocket Science UK researched the effectiveness of this learning support, and found that it is broadly popular and meeting the needs of local residents. They also made some recommendations for how we can improve the courses and learning events, such as adapting and changing the offer to meet future needs, encouraging more Big Local areas to take part in training courses, and improving the monitoring, evaluation and feedback systems we use for our learning support.
