Join community groups and organisations to be part of the biggest community sector event of the year.
Locality’s annual Convention brings together people who believe in the power of community from across the country.
This annual two-day event is hosted by Locality, the national membership network supporting local community organisations. There will be plenty of opportunities to hear from fantastic local and national speakers, engage in practical workshops and go on inspiring visits to learn from other community organisations.
Networking is a big part of the event and there is plenty of time in breaks and at dinner to chat to other Big Local areas and people working in different communities across England as well as policy makers, thinkers and doers to build connections and gain new ideas to take back to your local area.
Local Trust are offering limited free spaces for Big Local areas and covering travel and accommodation costs. This is a special opportunity, especially if you’re thinking about and planning for life after Big Local and looking to develop connections beyond the programme.
The offer for Big Local areas includes:
For more details about the event – check out Locality’s website where more information will be added over the next few months including about visits and workshops.
The code for Big Locals to book free tickets is BIGLOCAL24. Please note that codes are case sensitive.
Two people can attend per Big local group. We will be prioritising places to people whose Big Local areas is still active in the funding programme. Areas that have closed out but would find the event useful for their continuing community work and /or who are still delivering their Big Local plan are welcome to take up the offer.
