Continuing Community Action

This day event will be all about signposting you to the organisations and networks that can support you to continue your community work, as either an individual volunteer or as part of a legacy organisation.

In September, there will be 6 months left of the Big Local programme. Life outside of the Big Local funding will bring opportunities and challenges for the community groups and volunteers who will continue to lead change in their community.

Please join us for a day focused on where you can find support and advice, peers to talk to, and get inspired about meeting the challenges and opportunities ahead. There will workshops and guest speakers on the following themes

• Staying motivated in the face of adversity
• Your individual transferable skills
• Youth
• Health
• Assets
• Fundraising

Who is this event open to?

This event is open to any Big Local area or their Legacy Organisation.  It is for partnership members, and volunteers and workers from projects within Big Local areas, so we are expanding this event to include key local organisations funded by the Big Local partnership and their Legacy Organisations.

Will you cover travel and expenses?

Yes, Local Trust will be funding travel, accommodation, expenses and for volunteers, any caring costs to allow people to attend.

At the moment, we are limiting tickets to three per Big local area.
