This September, join Amazing Communities Together to find out how we can tackle spiking head on.
Help us to Protect, educate and empower. Spiking is not a prank. It’s a dangerous criminal act that can have devastating consequences. Whether through drinks, needles, food or even vapes, spiking is a growing threat that affects people of all genders, ages and backgrounds.
We are delighted to welcome Dawn Dines Founder and CEO of the UK charity Stamp out Spiking (SOS) who will share insights, data and strategies for tackling spiking head-on. With her powerful message and first hand experience she will outline how together we can build safer social spaces for everyone – especially young people and vulnerable communities, But Stamp Out Spiking can’t do this vital work alone.
Amazing Communities Together (ACT)
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to champion and support grassroots decision-making, bringing people and communities together, setting local priorities and driving national change.
We’re a vibrant network of over 170 community groups working to make a real difference in our neighbourhoods. Our goal? Stronger connections and a thriving sense of community for everyone, right across the UK.
At ACT, we embrace diverse challenges and opportunities across coastal, rural, and urban areas. Our wide-ranging membership enables us to offer responsive support to community groups throughout England. We’re not just passive observers; we’re active listeners and partners in growth, ready to support our members’ development, drawing on our real-world collective expertise to co-design resident-led solutions. Our approach is rooted in practical experience, ensuring that our support is both relevant and effective for each unique community we serve.
A Time to A.C.T
This is the flagship event held once a month online and over a lunch-hour, so that anyone who wants to take part can log in and listen. Time to A.C.T has already covered topics that are important to local communities including community banking, knife crime and debt management.
This event is organised and delivered by Amazing Communities Together.
