This party conference season, find out which events Local Trust will be co-hosting and supporting, as we continue to bring community-led change into the conversation.
Sunday 21 September, 7:45pm | Sherborne Room, Hycliff Marriott Hotel, Bournemouth
Hosted by Lloyds Bank Foundation with Local Trust and the Royal Voluntary Service
Our communities are filled with hopeful, determined people making the lives of their neighbours better. But after the challenges of the last half decade, the cracks in the charity sector are showing. There are simply not enough funds or volunteers to meet need.
At this event we discussed why civil society needs policymakers to unite behind three changes: unlocking charitable giving – through a national philanthropy strategy and local government partnerships; investment in social infrastructure; and support for volunteering.
Speakers included:
Monday 29 September, 10 – 10:50am | Education Area 2, Museum of Liverpool
Hosted by the New Statesman with 3ni
At a time where local government and public services are under growing pressure, it is more important than ever to place power, resources and decision-making into the hands of local communities.
At this public panel, we look forward to discussions covering learning from past regeneration programmes and community-led initiatives like Big Local.
Speakers include:
Monday 29 September, 15:15 – 16:30pm | Education Area 3, Museum of Liverpool
Hosted by IPPR North
