Learning from research: tackling racism & promoting inclusion in Big Local

Hear about research in two Big Local areas, into how partnerships planned to tackle racial inequality and promote racial inclusion

In early 2024 brap – a charity working to help people, communities, and the organisations that serve them turn equality into reality – supported two Big Local areas, to explore how they planned to tackle racial inequality and put these plans into practice.
Through this research, brap identified learning and insights into how community-led initiatives can improve the impact they are having on this important topic.

This event is for Big Local partnership members and those living in Big Local areas. This will be a safe place to reflect, including on the recent outbreaks of violence across the UK, their impact, and responses in communities across England.
