This guidance is for anyone looking to support people in their community to get online.
This guide from the Good Things Foundation gives details on how your Big Local area can sign up to become part of the Online Centres Network, and explains the key benefits which come with joining.
The network is a movement for social change – thousands of member organisations working to support digitally excluded people in their communities so that they are happier, healthier and better off. This handy guide will tell you everything you need to know about what you can expect if you decide to become a member.
Everyone Connected started as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its
aims included buying devices with connectivity and distributing them in the community.
Recipients were people who were experiencing digital and/or social exclusion.
The project created a legacy of knowledge. This included information around buying, training, distribution and the processes surrounding these stages. This document provides a summary of that knowledge. It is being shared so that communities can use it alongside their own knowledge, resources and networks to address digital exclusion in their own area.
